Renewable Resources

We are experimenting with renewable raw materials that can replace petrochemical raw materials in our elastomer compounds. Bio-polymers form the basis of our new materials, and carbon black can be substituted by wood-based fillers, for example.

Recycling

Rubber waste, i.e., defective products and the sprues and burrs produced during the injection molding process, is normally incinerated. Our aim is to use them as a resource for new compounds in a recycling management system.

Environmental and Climate Protection

Image

With an annual CO₂ balance, we review our carbon footprint and regularly initiate new projects through which we can reduce our CO₂ consumption. For example, since 2021, our production at headquarters has been almost 100 percent CO₂-free (according to Scope 1 & 2, GHG Protocol) thanks to green electricity. With the connection to the local heating network of the municipality of Niederwinkling in 2024, we have completely converted our heating system to biomass.

When constructing new buildings, we specifically rely on renewable building materials such as wood and green roofs in order to further reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable construction methods.

We are committed to proactively addressing climate change and the damage to our ecosystems. Sustainable use of resources and end-to-end recycling of recyclable materials are a matter of course for us.

Our products also contribute to environmental protection through their sealing function. Our proprietary CO₂e-reduced elastomer materials help minimize the environmental footprint of our products and create sustainable solutions for industry.

We regularly train our employees on energy and environmental topics, thus creating awareness and sensitivity for these formative topics.
