The IATF 16949 guideline unites existing general claims on quality management systems of automotive industry.
Aim of this standard is to improve the system and process quality effectively, to increase customer satisfaction, to recognize mistakes and risks within the manufacturing process and the supply chain, to eliminate their causes and test the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions and preventive measures. The primary focus is the avoidance of errors, not their discovery.

The environmental standard ISO 14001 refers to the questions of environmental management according to manufacturing processes and services.
These are the identification and control of effects on the environment, the improvement of environmental compatibility and the system of environmental targets.
Certification in accordance to ISO 50001
The essential objective of this standard is to support organizations to improve their energy related performance (e.g. their energy efficiency) by establishing necesserary systems and processes.
In this way unused energy efficiency potentials should be developed, energy costs, greenhouse gas emissions (e.g. CO2 emissions) and other environmental impacts of energy consumptions should be reduced. So the energy management system also provides an essential contribution to environmental and climate protection.
