27.05.2019 (ew) On Saturday, 25 May, seal manufacturer Wallstabe & Schneider organised an information day for pupils and parents on the subject of training. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., visitors were able to find out about the eleven training occupations and the dual study program at the company's own training center in Niederwinkling.

The information was first-hand, as the trainees at Wallstabe & Schneider presented their professions themselves and also gave visitors assistance in trying out the pneumatic and electronic stands. On the injection moulding machine, the guests could watch how seals for the automotive industry are made from an elastomer compound, of which Wallstabe & Schneider produces more than 6000 different variants. The technical product designers gave visitors the opportunity to try out drawing with CAD programs. The chemical technicians demonstrated test equipment with which, for example, the hardness and tensile strength of a seal can be tested before series production starts.

The trainers answered questions about the vocational school, the training allowance and the hiring rate, which is very high at Wallstabe & Schneider. The human resources department gave application tips and explained the requirements and recruitment criteria for the respective training courses. During an internship, anyone who is still unsure as to which profession best suits them can get a more precise picture, explained training manager Daniel Schätz.

The guided tours of the production halls and the mixing plant were also very well received.
